Keeping Up With The Kosik's
About
Hello & welcome to our blog!

For those of you who are not close family or friends, my name is Kim and my husband Brandon and baby girl Callie will likely be featured here a lot. We got married in July 2019 and have been together for 9 years. Time flies. Together we have our cat named Marvin, our Holland Lop rabbit named Chester and in May 2021 we welcomed our beautiful daughter Callie.

We are located in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada. I am a member of the Westbank First Nation band in the Okanagan Nation and we live, work and thrive on the beautiful unceded Syilx/ Okanagan territory. We get the best of both worlds here, mild winters (yes, we do get snow) & hot summers (yay beaches).

My life’s purpose is being there for other’s by supporting and believing in them in all aspects of my life (work, family, friendships).

The people and things that fill my cup the most are:

-
Spending time with family
-
Learning my First Nations language (nqilxʷcən/nsyilxcən)
-
Travelling
-
Camping/ Spending time at the beach
-
Kayaking
-
Long walks listening to my favorite True Crime Podcasts
A few of my hobbies include:

-
Scrapbooking
-
Reading
-
Crafting (making pallet signs, paint nights ect). Really anything that allows me to get my creative juices flowing.
-
Golfing
-
Photography
-
Planning Fun Family Events (Gender Reveals, Baby Showers, Birthday Parties, ect)

We are looking forward to sharing our home building journey with you all, along with other parts of our life that are important to us: travelling, family, my language learning journey to name a few 😊
